HP Inc. announced the appointment of Carol Surface as Chief People Officer, effective March 24, 2025. She will report to HP President and Chief Executive Officer Enrique Lores and join the company's executive leadership team.

With a career spanning some of the world’s most iconic brands, Surface most recently served as Chief People Officer at Apple. Prior to that, she spent a decade as Chief Human Resources Officer at Medtronic, and held senior HR leadership roles at Best Buy and PepsiCo. She brings deep expertise in HR operating model transformation and organizational change.

Surface holds a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from Central Michigan University. She is Vice Chair of the HR Policy Association, a member of Gartner's CHRO Leadership Board, and was named a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources in 2020 – the highest honor in the HR profession.
