Boeing announced the appointment of Kelly Ortberg as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Ortberg previously served as President and CEO of Rockwell Collins, a major aerospace supplier, and later held senior roles following the company's acquisition by United Technologies, and served on the RTX board. He began his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments and also served as Chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA).

Boeing is facing safety and financial crises, and Ortberg's appointment is seen as a critical step in turning the company around.
