Roblox announced the appointment of John Stauffer as Vice President of Engineering.

Stauffer spent over 24 years at Apple, where he served as Vice President of Software Engineering for the Interactive Media Group, contributing to the development of AirPlay, FaceTime, CarPlay, and AR/VR headset software, and leading a team of over 1,000 engineers.

He will be responsible for the development and management of the Roblox engine, the core of the company's social 3D platform.
